Gaming Commission of Ghana in collaboration with Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) has organized a two-day workshop for gaming operators under the theme, “Capacity Building on Anti-Money Laundering/Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT & PF)” in Accra.
The workshop was to equip the operators with requisite knowledge on emerging trends in money laundering within the gaming industry, and the role of operators in combating AML among others.

The Gaming Commission of Ghana will like to bring to the attention of the general public that effective 31st December, 2021, ALL ANALOGUE GAMING MACHINES are obsolete and no longer accepted for licensing and operation in Ghana.
Thus, the importation, assembling and operation of these machines are illegal from the above date. Read more

An 11-Member Governing Board of the Gaming Commission of Ghana has been sworn into office, with a charge to license gaming machines of the highest standards and protocols, with options for responsible and sustainable gaming.
Inaugurating the Board, the Minister of the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery tasked the Members to pay critical attention to, and mitigate the challenge of underage gaming especially in vulnerable communities. “I will therefore urge you to work with the Management of the Commission, to further promote responsible and sustainable gaming practices that prevents and minimizes harm to those who are not supposed to indulge in the activity.” Read more
